Swim
All campers have swim twice a day. Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining safety at the pool and instructing campers.
ALL STAFF MUST SUPPORT OUR LIFEGUARD STAFF IN KEEPING OUR POOL SAFE AND HELPING THEM IN SWIM INSTRUCTION BY FOLLOWING THESE REGULATIONS:
- All staff must be in the pool area with no socks and no shoes - for morning swim and afternoon swim.
- Staff may assist in morning swim instruction by being in the pool or in charge of the Buddy Board on deck. The head lifeguard will make daily staff assignments.
Staff must be in a bathing suit and in the pool if they have non-swimmers in their group (in the shallow end or kiddy pool).
- Staff may go in to the pool in the afternoon for free swim. Staff not in the pool will be given specific guard assignments.
- All staff will have buddy sheet filled out before coming to the pool, making adjustments for absent children.
- All wrist bracelets must be on campers before entering the pool - see pool assistant if you need any bracelets. All bracelets must be labeled and kept in a zip lock bag.
- Talk to your Division Head if there is a camper who did not take part in swim instruction before lunch.
- A camper must NEVER be told that they can NOT participate in free swim, if they did not go into the pool for lessons in the morning. We need to find out: WHY?
