Spotting a Child Molester
Be wary of an adult or child whose actions or attitudes with or about children make you feel uncomfortable.
Some of the clues to look for include someone who:
- spends too much time with children
- insists on hugging, touching, kissing, or holding a child even when the affection is unwanted
- is overly interested in exploring and/or discussing a child or teen's body and sexuality
- doesn't have any interests other than being with children
- creates reasons to be alone with children or takes them to a secret place
- creates special or secret games with a child
- offers to baby sit for free or take children on outings alone
- gives children unnecessary gifts or rewards
- engages in harassing behavior
- talks about inappropriate topics
- views sexual images through various media and tries to share such images
