Silence System
- Each group should create their own system (e.g. finger on the nose, clapping, etc.) and use it starting day one.
- Remind the group each day of your silence system.
- Don't overuse - when you don't really need them to be quiet - or the children will stop responding to it.
- Use it for safety, group announcements, or for getting started on an activity.
- Do not utilize it every time you want the group to line up, move, or play.
